Your roof is your home’s first line of defense against weather and objects from damaging your roof. Here are a few things you shouldn’t do to your roof in order to keep it in good condition:
- Never install anything directly to the roof: One of the most popular things installed to the roof is a basketball hoop. The repeatedness of the basketball going through the hoop will wear out the nails attached to the roof which will then damage the roof.
- Don’t pull up shingles: As much as you may want to pull up any shingles that look cracked or broken, don’t. Pulling up shingles can break the seal and cause a leak.
