There are a few things you shouldn’t do to your roof because they can cause damage. Here’s a list of things not do to:
- Never install things directly on your roof: Try not to attach christmas lights, basketball hoops, etc. to your roof. The weight of these things can lead to breaking the roof sealing and lead to leaks. Use under-eave brackets if you want to attach something to your roof.
- Never pull up your shingles: Pulling up shingles breaks the roof sealing and can cause leaks.
- Never power wash your roof: Power washing is a very strong cleaning tool and can severely damage your roof by causing shingles to break, leaks, and roof sealing cracking.
