You should also trim any trees and branches close to your roof to help prevent any from breaking off, hitting your roof, and causing damage.
- Prevent snow and ice from accumulating on your roof: Snow and ice can be very damaging to your roof. You can remove snow from your roof by using a roof rake. You could also install heating cables to prevent ice dams.
