Moss can not only make your roof look unappealing, but can severely damage your roof and decrease your roof’s lifespan. Here’s how to treat moss on your roof:
- Apply a cleaning solution: A good cleaning solution to use is dish soap. Mix 8 ounces of dish soap with 2 gallons of water. Then apply this solution to the moss affected area.
- Use a soft-bristle brush: Using a soft-bristle brush, scrub the solution downward into the roof to remove the moss.
- Rinse with water: Rinse your roof with water until the solution and moss are gone.
