Moss growing on your roof can cause shingles to peel up and can damage your roof. Moss can also cause leaks. Here are some tips to remove moss off of your roof:
- Start off with spraying your roof with water: Spray the moss-affected area and use a bristle-brush and scrub the moss. Do not use a pressure washer.
- Use a cleaning solution: There are some moss-killing solutions you can buy at the store. A popular product is Wet & Forget. You could even make your own solution by using some dish soap.
Prevent future moss: You can stop moss from growing on your roof by installing a zinc coated sheet metal.
