Your roof is the first line of defense of protecting your home so it’s important that you check to see if it was installed properly. Here are some things to look for to check that the roof was installed properly:
- Check the flashing: If any flashing looks like it is being pulled up from the roof, the roof was most likely installed improperly. If you see this or the flashing is cracked, have it repaired immediately.
- Check the shingles: If shingles are nailed down incorrectly or overhang from the roof, it can cause them to be damaged easier and fall off quicker. If you also notice any shingles that seem out of place, repair them as quickly as you can.
- Check for uniformity: Look to see if any parts of the room seem uneven or don’t look the same as other areas.
